The goal of the parent session is to empower parents by providing them with tools to support their daughters. The program also aims to address any questions or concerns that parents may have and to break down any stigmas or barriers resulting from their backgrounds or misinformation.

Why we started girls with crowns

Girls with crowns was started by two sisters who immigrated to Canada when they were 8 and 3 years old. Growing up in Regina, there was never any representation for girls of colour .We felt that there was no spaces for people like us to share our feelings , and experiences. We’ve had many girls that we’ve talked to that had many bad experiences but didn’t have an outlet to talk to. We created Girls With Crowns as an outlet for girls of colours to feel safe, share their experiences, and to be empowered.
